Compressor Remanufacture

How we do it

ACES offer a unique quality control procedure that covers all aspects of the remanufacturing process. Each compressor is dealt with as an individual project with every stage of the remanufacturing detailed and logged.
Our unique and complete remanufacture process is detailed below.

We take pride in our work and confidently supply every remanufactured compressor with a 12 month warranty. Extended warranty can also be arranged (at no additional cost) for compressors that are held as 'standby'.

Complete Disassembly

Complete Disassembly

The compressor is drained of oil and completely disassembled.

Compliance

Compliance

All components, including cylinder bores and crankshaft are measured for wear.

Component check

Component check

Components within the manufacturers specified tolerances are recycled – all other components are replaced. Suction and discharge valve reeds and piston rings are replaced regardless of their condition.

Electrical re-winding & testing

Electrical re-winding & testing

The stator windings are removed from the housing, the number identified with the compressors unique number and sent to our electrical re-wind department for testing or re-wind.

Vigorous cleaning process

Vigorous cleaning process

All cast components including compressor body, cylinder heads and end covers are subject to a specialised cleaning process.

Reassembly

Reassembly

The compressor is then reassembled by one of our experienced personnel. Conformity checks are made at each stage of the assembly.

Initial testing procedure

Initial testing procedure

Once assembled the compressor is bench tested electrically prior to being oil charged with the nominated oil.

Test centre

Test centre

Every compressor is test run under full load conditions on a closed circuit system. Currents and winding resistances are recorded together with suction, discharge and oil pressure. A final pump down completes the testing procedure after which the compressor is leak tested with OFN and dehydrated.

Spray booth

Spray booth

After the compressor has been given a holding charge of oxygen free nitrogen, it is then spray-painted in the original manufacturer's colours (unless otherwise specified).

 Packing & despatch
